Thank you for your interest in Westwood Charter. Before signing up for a tour, please carefully read through the information below to make sure you meet all the tour criteria. Please note that tours are organized and run by parent volunteers. Please do not call the Westwood Charter Office for tour information.
Please note that Westwood Charter is a neighborhood school and is affiliated with LAUSD. All families living within our boundaries are given first priority to attend Westwood Charter school. Lottery is for children living outside our boundaries but who would like to attend Westwood Charter. Residential boundaries for enrollment are between North Santa Monica Boulevard and Pico Boulevard, and Sepulveda Boulevard and Century Park East. Tours are for families with students eligible for Kindergarten in the fall of 2013. Your child is eligible for kindergarten if they are 5 years old or turns 5 years old by October 1. We are unsure of the status of the Transitional Kindergarten program for 2013-2014. If LAUSD does continue to offer this program, your child would be eligible if they turn 5 between October 2 and December 1, 2013. We will continue to update the status of the TK program as we receive more information from the District.
We have 30 slots for each school tour. Tours are by reservation only and are filled on a first-come, first-served basis, with the following priority criteria: 25 slots for neighborhood children who are eligible for kindergarten or TK in Fall 2013, and 5 slots for lottery children who are eligible for kindergarten or TK in Fall 2013. Please note we do not anticipate having ANY lottery openings for the 2013-2014 school year.
- You must sign up for the tour prior to the tour date in order to participate. Each person attending the tour must sign up for one space on the tour.
- School Tours will begin promptly at 9:15am.
- School Tours are for adults only. (No strollers please!)
