Westwood Charter School is open to all residents and welcomes all students; however, first priority is given to children within our enrollment boundaries.
Residential boundaries for enrollment are in between North Santa Monica Boulevard and Pico Boulevard, and Sepulveda Boulevard and Century Park East.
Space permitting, non resident students are selected by public lottery. For the 2017-2018 school year, non-residents may apply by filling out a lottery card on or after February 6th, which must be completed and delivered to the main office NO LATER than April 7th. The lottery will take place on April 28, 2017, at 8:30am. We will hold a public random drawing to establish a ranked list for openings in the fall. The ranked list will be posted on our website by 6pm on May 1, 2017. We will not know until August or later if we will be enrolling any lottery students in any grades. Please make alternate plans.
Westwood Charter School has approximately 850 students.
The majority of our kindergarten children are from the local neighborhood.
Westwood Charter School is committed to enrolling a student population reflective of the ethnic and cultural diversity of the Los Angeles Unified School District.
The TK Program will not continue at Westwood Charter for the 2017-18 school year. For more information, visit the Transitional Kindergarten page.
For more information about resident or non-resident enrollment, contact the school office at 310-474-7788 or contact us.
** PLEASE NOTE: WE ARE VERIFYING RESIDENCY AND CROSS-CHECKING FOR FRAUDULENT RESIDENCES. ANY STUDENT FOUND TO HAVE ENTERED OUR SCHOOL USING A FRAUDULENT ADDRESS WILL BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY AND SENT TO THEIR HOME SCHOOL.**
